Wight (1902–1986) painted a portrait of Lyonel Feininger which currently resides in the collection of the National Portrait Gallery, Washington, D.C. (NPG.80.5). The present lot depicts houses in the village of Kromsdorf, three miles northeast of Weimar in Thuringia, Germany. Presents well. Toning to the sheet overall, the extent of which is apparent at edges. Small area of discoloration to left edge in lower left corner. Pinholes in corners.
